CT HME providers are currently eligible for COVID vaccination. Providers can get access to vaccinations by enrolling their employees with the Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS): https://dphsubmissions.ct.gov/VAMSEnrollment
The state of Maine has not formally shared their plan for HME provides to access the COVID vaccine. Although HME Providers fall under the phase 1a definition of Health Care Personnel the state is directing all staff to check with their employers for vaccine access. To read the full transmittal from EOHHS please click here. HOMES has learned Walgreens is currently scheduling Vaccine appointments at their locations in Haverhill, MA Danvers, MA and Saugus, MA. To register fo for an appointmen please visit https://www.walgreens.com/findcare/vaccination/covid-19. MA will be holding a COVID Vaccine Town Hall Meeting for Home-based Health Care workers on January 21st 2021 at 7:00pm. Q&A session will be held at the end of the meeting. To join dial 1-833-946-1566 or visit mass.gov/teletownhall no reservation is required. MA has announced that "Home-based healthcare workers" will be eligible for vaccination beginning in February. Although the state has not yet released an official process of how and where providers will be able to access the vaccine there are now a number of vaccine sites setup throughout the state and are currently administering the vaccine to first responders (Police,Fire, EMT) at these locations. New Hampshire has setup 13 vaccination locations throughout the state and are currently scheduling health care personnel through the Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS). Providers can pre-register for VAMS by visiting: https://prd.blogs.nh.gov/dos/hsem/?page_id=10681. After pre-registering individuals will receive further information and instructions through email on how to register and schedule your vaccination appointment. |
HOMES has confirmed that some HME providers are being vaccinated however there is a lack of clarity as to how they are determined. Some providers have reported success by contacting the state to be added to the notification list and then are contacted when they are due to be scheduled. Vermont has begun vaccination by notifying eligible personnel directly when they are eligible. The HOMES office has also learned that some providers have had success by contacting their local health systems to vaccinate their front line staff. We have also learned that the UMV medical Center is operating a vaccine clinic and that some HME providers have been able to vaccinations through this clinic.
